Richmond Times-Dispatch, 10/22/2008 - The housing market is showing signs of stabilizing in Virginia, including the Richmond area. In the Richmond area, the city and Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico counties, the number of home sales rose 1.6 percent in the third quarter from the same period a year ago, according to a report released this morning by the Virginia Association of Realtors. The average price here was relatively unchanged at $267,294.

Chairman to resign from Richmond housing authority board

Prices, sales of commercial properties down in U.S.

City Holds Itself, Theater Row, Hostage
Style Weekly, 10/15/2008 - The city appears to be holding itself hostage by failing to acknowledge a billing mess over the refinancing of the city-owned Theater Row building on Broad Street. The city embarked on a mission in 2006 to make Theater Row, which houses the Department of Public Utilities, available to private tenants wanting to be near the new federal courthouse across the street, a move that would require refinancing the building.
